At work, we have read poster with caramel apples on it the hangs right in my eye line. After staring at it for about 40 hours in a row, I had to make some. I used the recipe from VegCooking. I dipped the apples twice, rolled them in pecan, and let them set for a couple of hours. I then drizzled melted chocolate chips on them to give them a turtle candy effect. Mmm…caramel apples.

Sesame Street
I stole no borrowed this idea from a guy who borrowed this idea from birthday party supplies. I stumbled across his pictures on flickr and bookmarked it not knowing what I was going to use it for. So for Sesame Streets 40th anniversary I decided to do a bulletin board. The bulletin board is warped so don’t judge me for it not being perfectly straight

Goodbye Oscar
In October, the comic strip Unshelved had a contest called Pimp My Book Cart. The junior high kids and I created Oscar based on Dav Pilkey’s, The Hallo-Weiner. After paper macheing (spelling??) him, painting him, and hours of construction I was in love. However, today I had to say goodbye to Oscar. We will always remember you.

Another Failure
I am beginning to think the seitan is my archenemy. I volunteered to make some Vegan Boneless Chickenless Hot Wings from Vegan Dad for a Super Bowl Party. They were gross. The texture was … spongy is the only way to describe it. Plus, the taste was not good at all. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.
